    So, not to be all male and everything, but what you have to remember about Renaissance art was that it was a completely different time. Women were viewed as nothing more than property, and since it was commissioned by The Church, the prejudices of Catholicism had a huge influence on the content.

    Plus, it's a fairly well-documented fact (ok, just really suspicion and rumour) that Michaelangelo was gay, so he would've rather painted naked men than naked women.

    Just sayin'.

    Yeah, I guess it makes sense. It probably wouldn't have bothered me if I hadn't also had to spend every day wearing long sleeves and long skirts just to get into the places.

    I think if the Catholic Church was headed by women instead of (or along side) the men, the world might be a very different place today.
